I have cicadas here in williamstown New jersey. A bunch of vibrantly colored blue green ones almost 2.5 inches long black eyes. A bunch in my development. I also saw a yellow locust about 1.5 in in my yard today.

    1. Dan says:

Magicicada, no Brooklyn, but they’re in Staten Island.

Normal annual cicadas are in Brooklyn (Manhattan, Bronx, Queens, etc.) especially the Neotibicen tibicen tibicen (Linnaeus, 1758) aka Morning Cicada type.

I heard a cassini back in late May!! (Northern Virginia, 2 year late Brood X straggler)
