These cicadas will next emerge in 2025 (Brood XIV). They often emerge 1 or 4 years earlier than expected.

Thanks for this info. Found a cicada (don’t know which kind) resting on my patio, 7/31/2020, 2:45 PMJ. Heard a short burst of song from another one in a nearby tree, same time and date.
