Found in Monmouth County and counties south of Monmouth. Favorite spot: Manchester, NJ.
Neocicada hieroglyphica hieroglyphica (Say, 1830) aka Hieroglyphic Cicada
Mostly Monmouth County and south with large populations in the Pine Barrens. Favorite spot: Pine Barrens.

Neotibicen davisi davisi (Smith and Grossbeck, 1907) aka Davis’ Southeastern Dog-Day Cicada
Neotibicen latifasciatus (Davis, 1915) aka Coastal Scissor(s) Grinder Cicada
Found in Cape May county, and maybe Cumberland & Atlantic. Look for them in Ceder trees.

Neotibicen lyricen engelhardti (Davis, 1910) aka Dark Lyric Cicada

Found in western counties, particularly near the Delaware River.

Found in northern counties.
