I have heard them at night, but I live in Upper Michigan. am i hearing a cicada?
August 25, 2008 – The cicadas were singing loud and long in San Antonio around 6:00PM. Only in the south.
Strange, I have heard giant cicadas in the San Antonio area (NE/Terrell Hills) for as long as I can remember (the past 35 years or so).
I am a big kid when it comes to insects ~ I love them, cicadas are wonderful and should be preserved for future generations to appreciate. Knowledge is the best way to save what we still have, and your website will hopefully teach people about these gifts from nature. Keep up the good work!
