I grew up in Weaverville and was talking to my Mom today and she said the Cicada’s were there this year. I was explaining them to my son who is 8 and showing him the pictures when we saw that your photo was from Weaverville!

We live in Burbank California and have very few bugs out here. It’s nice not having to hear all that noise when you sleep.
