They have been emerging here in Monroe County West Virginia for the past week or more. Would like to post an image, but do not see how.

Beautiful! Just heard my first one this morning here in Rockingham County Va. I, of course, had to get online to check things out. Which species has a call that drops in pitch at the end? I think I heard the call described as ” Phaaaarrr-oh” …..Pharoah cicada!?
